Dynamic stimulation of the visual cortex can allow blind people to recognize various letter shapes.Dr. Daniel Yoshor from Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas, and colleagues developed an dynamic technique where activation of a sequence of electrodes are analogous to tracing letters on the palm. The technique is known as current steering and researchers explain in Cell.
